| This web page provides information on the basic domestic violence training available through UDVC. Two types of training are currently offered; web-based and live basic training, which together meet the minimum of 24 hours of pre-service domestic violence training required for an individual to conduct domestic violence treatment in a licensed outpatient treatment facility. UDVC does not license individuals or agencies to provide domestic violence treatment, but does offer certificates of completion for all of our training's. Our Web Based Training also has CEU's (continuing education units) available for successful completion. Web-based Basic Domestic Violence Training Course Cost and Certification | Minimum Technical Requirements | Course Registration UDVC offers a four-hour web-based training course titled “The Basics of Domestic Violence,” which is designed to explore the complex issue of domestic violence as it affects women, men, and children. Participants learn about power and control in relationships, the cycle of violence, barriers to leaving, and working with victims from diverse populations. This training is NASW approved for four (4) CEU hours. Course Cost and Certificate of completion This course is free to all participants. However, if you need a certificate of completion once you have finished the four-hour course, one is available for $20. For more information, contact Katie Sutton at ksutton@udvc.org or click here.
