Welcome to the information page for the 2008 Utah Domestic Violence Combined Conference!

If you are registered for the Annual Conference please take some time to review and print the information below before the conference, as it will undoubtably make your conference experience much more enjoyable.

Registration

While pre-registration for the conference is closed there will be limited on-site registrations available on a first-come first-serve basis. On-site registration will begin at 8:00am on Tuesday September 16th.

All conference participants will need to sign-in each day of the conference. Please check our agenda for the appropriate times for morning sign-in/registration. Please also note on the agenda that we will not be serving lunch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; there is a list of local restaurants available in the lunch section below.

Location

The conference will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center. While there are several maps available on their website we suggest using this map as it points out clearly where we will be meeting and where the best parking location is.

Lunch

Lunch will not be provided Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Here is a small listing of some of the local restaurants available in the downtown area.

Getting There

Please do plan ahead of time for transportation and parking. By far the easiest and least expensive transportation will be for you to take TRAX and FrontRunner if you are from Salt Lake, Davis or Weber Counties. Please visit their website at http://www.utabus.com/ for travel schedules for all UTA busses, TRAX and FrontRunner. If you chose to drive to the Salt Palace there are several parking locations for you to choose from. The closest and most accessible parking area for the conference is the Salt Palace parking garage located across the street from the Energy Solutions on 300 West. Those parking at the Salt Palace Convention Center will be assessed a daily parking fee that will not be paid for or reimbursed by the UDVC conference; last time we checked the daily fee was $6.00 per vehicle. Here is a map of other possible parking areas around the downtown area.

CEU's

We are very excited to announce that both the Utah Psychological Association and the Utah Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers have approved our conference for 21 CEU’s! More information on how to obtain a CEU certificate will be available at the conference.

Payments

If you have paid in full or if you have previously contacted us to make arrangements for your payment please disregard this section. If you still need to make a payment you may either mail in a check or money order (please do not send cash through the mail) to the address below. You may also bring a check, money order or cash payment to the conference with you to pay on site. We cannot accept credit card payments by phone, through mail or on-site next week. Please plan accordingly.
