Call for Presenters 19th Annual Utah Domestic Violence Council Conference September 14th-17th, 2010 at the Salt Palace Convention Center *Please read ALL portions of this document carefully* You are invited to submit a proposal to be a proposal to be a presenter at the 2010 UDVC Conference! All proposals must be received by March 31st, 2010 in order to be considered. The UDVC Conference is a unique opportunity to bring together domestic violence perpetrator treatment providers, domestic violence shelter staff, Division of Child and Family Services domestic violence case workers, local DV coalition members and anyone other professionals working in the DV field. Their are many purposes of the conference but the main two are to provide professionals in the DV field with information and skills to help them meet the needs of your customers, and to provide an opportunity to network and build relationships. Outlined below are the specific knowledge and skill areas we are highlighting for the conference this year. When providing workshop proposals please ensure they related to the areas outlined. The UDVC conference planning committee is seeking presentation submissions for workshops which focus on families and individuals moving from power and control to peace and equality within domestic violence. Whenever possible, presentations should have a "hands-on" interactive approach that will provide participants with knowledge and skills which may be easily applied. Workshops will be 1.25 or 1.5 hours in length and should include time for audience participation; questions and answers. Presentations should also address cultural considerations relevant to the domestic violence movement. We will be looking for innovative proposals that relate to the areas below:
